Britain's Got Talent Slot Machine

After first airing in 2007, Britain’s Got Talent captivated the nation so much that it’s produced each and every year. For those unaware the show sees people take part in auditions showcasing their skills whether it be singing, juggling, dancing or many other types of performances we’ve seen over the years until the line-up is whittled down to 45 who then compete over a week to impress the judges and public, with several heats that see some advance into the semi-final and then finals night where the winner is given the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety show in front of the British Royal Family along with a cash prize.

Created by Simon Cowell, though of course it’s not the first television show from Simon Cowell and ITV to feature on the reels as Ash Gaming have also released an X-Factor Jackpot slot machine too, it is set on a Union Jack background just like the Little Britain slot machine with strobe lights lighting up the stage and boasts two very rewarding bonus features.

No Judges on the Reels

The design of the symbols in Britain’s Got Talent are bitterly disappointing. There are eleven in total but they have all been designed rather basically with no detail or ambition which is unusual from Ash Gaming slot machines as they usually nail the design every time.

The symbol with the highest value is the Wild, which is simply a Union Jack with the word Wild printed on it, and along with the ability to substitute for all others aside from the bonus symbols, landing five on one payline results in a 10,000 coin win. There are two bonus symbols, one of which is the Britain’s Got Talent logo with the word bonus printed on it and this triggers the Live Show feature, while the other is a star with free spins printed on it which triggers the free spins mode.

The rest of the symbols are as basic as it gets. There are three different coloured symbols with different silhouettes representing a type of act – either musical, dance, or novelty, with Ace to 10 symbols completing the line-up.

Live Show Bonus

It’s always a barrel of laughs watching the auditions and seeing people make fools of themselves, but in the live shows the serious acts really bring their ‘A’ game for spectacular performances. Land a Britain’s Got Talent Bonus symbol on the first, third and fifth reels during the same spin and you’ll find yourself represented on the show by either a musical, dance or novelty act for the opportunity to win 1,125x your total bet.

After selecting the type of act that will represent you, you then must spin a wheel that contains eight different acts relating to your category (such as Susan Boyle if you choose a musical act) to guide them from the auditions to the semi-finals for a chance of making it to the grand finale – and should your act be good enough to bag a spot in the final and you can land a massive multiplier for huge a huge win. The louder the audience cheer in enjoyment of your act the larger your prize will be as you advance through a ladder with prizes attached, but if your act leaves the judges unimpressed they will hit that dreaded buzzer – with the feature finishing when all four judges reject the act.

Free Spins Bonus

The other highly rewarding feature in Britain’s Got Talent is a free spins mode, and like fellow Ash Gaming slot Adventures in Wonderland, it also offers a free spins mode that offers up to 20 free spins along with Sticky Wilds - and if you’ve experienced that before you’ll know exactly how rewarding it is!

Of course, you’ll first need to acquire a Free Spins symbol on the second, third and fifth reels during the same spin. Once you do this each of the symbols will display a number of free spins which are then added together to give you a total number of free spins – between 7 and 20. Regarding Sticky Wilds, the Britain’s Got Talent logo will zoom across the reels and drop the Sticky Wilds onto random positions, and these stay in place until all your spins are complete.

Britain’s Got Talent Conclusion

I found it very disappointing that judges haven’t been used as symbols, especially Simon, but perhaps the reason behind this is so the slot doesn’t get outdated should he leave his judging role which is understandable. While the design isn’t great, the two bonus features are fantastic with up to 1,125x your bet on offer in the Live Show bonus and up to 20 free spins with Sticky Wilds in the free spins feature!
